Hi
In these unusual and challenging times, simplifying our lives feels more appealing than ever. In my field of work, I can help by reimagining your existing home to create a more efficient and comfortable space. Sometimes that means reorganizing the interior to better support multi-generational living — creating shared spaces for connection while also ensuring quiet, private areas for retreat.
We can also explore expanding your home or adding a detached structure to your property. An accessory dwelling unit (ADU), which could help with the limited housing options, could provide a thoughtfully designed, single-story living space with excellent accessibility for aging family members — as an alternative to the more typical “above-the-garage” setting.
Another option allowed in some zones under local zoning is a “guest quarter” structure — a standalone space that can include a bedroom, full bath, and small kitchen. This approach may also place less demand on an existing septic system.
If you’d like to explore ideas for your home, I would be happy to meet with you, at no charge, to discuss possibilities
Below is a recently completed project on Bainbridge Island:
Project Scope:
Transformation of a single-family residence into a multi-generational home by reorganizing the interior layout to create an additional bedroom/office, a new bathroom, a media room, added storage closets, new windows and doors, and relocation of the fireplace.
Please feel free to reach out — I look forward to the conversation.
